Principles of Finance

This module is based on financial understanding from a business perspective. It will provide you the insight needed to be able to determine varying degrees of financial data that is used within the business, the purpose and scope along with the analysis and evaluation methods that can be used to support the infrastructure of budgets and management accounting from an operational level. You will learn key terminology for finance and use real examples/case studies to analyse and evaluate the data presented, developing your critical thinking skills in the process. The intention and aim of the module is to provide you the required skills to interpret, analyse and evaluate why decisions are made based on financial data that affects the strategic intentions of an organisation.
